CHEMICAL RUST CONVERTER

1) CHARACTERISTICS

Nowadays it’s not longer necessary to rub rusty surfaces with sandpaper or wire brush to remove any traces of rust before applying a regular anticorrosive paint: now simply apply niXin as supplied – with a brush or, after diluting with 10 – 15% water, by spraying directly on the rusted iron without preliminary cleaning operations, repeating 2-3 quick passes over the most corroded areas.
An iron surface treated with niXin – EMAIL or, even better, with niXin – ANTI-CORROSIVE PAINT – EMAIL has an exceptional resistance to weathering, including in coastal and mountainous areas. niXin quickly removes rust and prevents oxidation (rusting) of any surface that may corrode (rust).
niXin is also very suitable for indoor use because it does not contain solvent, is non-flammable, is non-toxic and is odorless.
Surfaces treated with niXin can withstand temperatures up to 90° C without damaging the applied film.

After a longer storage period, niXin may show signs of thickening and a slight separation of brown liquid. They do not alter the product at all – in this case it is sufficient to shake and mix the product before use.

The product can be applied on the following surfaces:
– rusty iron;
– new iron.

The surfaces must be properly prepared following the instructions indicated in the section “PRODUCT APPLICATION”.

4)PRODUCT APPLICATION

For excessively rusty, dirty or stained oil iron surfaces, it is advisable to effectively remove the thickest scales and exfoliate the rust by mechanical means, with a wire brush or degrease the surfaces with solvents. Apply “niXin” with a brush, roller or spray gun. In a few minutes, the yellow-brown semi-transparent film of niXin becomes glossy and turns into a hard black chemical complex.
After 1-2 hours a second layer of niXin can be applied (which already increases the excellent corrosion resistance) and / or, after 12-24 hours, an anticorrosive paint or even better, a layer of anticorrosive paint and a final enamel or solvent based varnish layer. Obviously, niXin blackens quickly and prevents corrosion on iron surfaces without rust, while being inefficient through the paint layers. niXin can also be applied to slightly damp iron surfaces without degrading performance.

WARNING

During application, the brush should not be soaked in the original plastic container with niXin.
The amount of niXin considered necessary for application can be poured each time into another plastic container for use and it is absolutely contraindicated to pour the remaining residue after use back in the original plastic container.
